Armenian Pumpkin Soup “Ddmapour”


⁃ 300 grams of meat (beef or lamb) with fat
⁃ 1 cup of pre-soaked chickpeas
⁃ 0,5 kg pumpkin
⁃ 2 tbsp tomato paste
⁃ Red & black pepper
⁃ Salt
⁃ 3 garlic cloves
⁃ 1 lemon
⁃ Mint


• Boil the meat and the chickpeas.
• Place the pumpkin, the meat, the chickpeas, the tomato paste, and the spices in a deep pot.
• Let everything boil in the broth.
• Once the pumpkin is cooked, remove the pot from the stove and add the lemon juice, garlic, and mint.
