- 3-4 tbsp of tomato paste
- 1-2 tbsp of flour (optional)
- 50-70 grams of butter
- 1 onion 🧅
- Salt 🧂 & pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Clean and wash the fish.
- Separate the fish from the skin and fish bones.
- Pass the cleaned fish twice through the meat grinder.
- Add the egg, salt, pepper, and nutmeg to the fish.
- Thoroughly mix.
- From the mixture, make fish balls that are slightly bigger than walnuts.
- Boil water and add salt. 🧂
- Carefully place the fish balls in boiling water until cooked.
- The kololaks take about 10-14 minutes to be thoroughly cooked.
- Take this time to prepare the tomato sauce.
- Dice the onion very thinly and sauté in melted butter. 🧈
- Add the tomato paste and fried until brown flour; add some more water and simmer a little more.
- Serve the kololaks hot with the tomato sauce on top.
